House Progress Etc.

Can I just say flip homes are lots and lots of work. Richard and I are spending every night and weekend over at the other house. We are definitely making progress.

Here is a picture of cabinets being installed.

We decided there was no way the two of us were going to make it on our own and meet our deadline. So we hired Anderson Lemes to help us. His wife Lucimar has cleaned our home for about 5 years and they are just great people. He is a fast learner and has been a lot of help. Maybe one of these days I will actually get a photo with his head in it!

This week Kami is home helping us and she is great. I don't know another girl that is as handy as she is.

Also this week is our big Stake Relief Society Humanitarian service day. This year we are doing Christmas gift bags for soldiers in Iraq. We are also doing receiving blankets for the hospitals. I work with the greatest women in the world. They are so neat. Here is a photo or two of the Presidency.

Carrie Soptich, Secretary from Carnation. Her husband is the fire chief. Next is Ginger Beeson, President, from the plateau. If you ever want to meet a person that does everything the prophet ever asks you to it is her. She is a great example. And then there is me--why am I there? I don't know!

Sorting out supplies to go to Iraq.

This is Karen Knight, Ginger Beeson and me. Pat, Karen says to tell you hello. Karen's husband is the manager of the Pro Club in Redmond that Microsoft uses. If you ever want to see a posh club that's it. They even have medical staff on board now to say nothing of a spa that is out of this world. As for me, I only dream of having enough money to go some place like that. We did have a presidency meeting there and had lunch and it was pretty darn fun.

We also have a house guest living with us. This is Carrie Fox. Her parents lived down the street from us and we have been friends for years. Carrie has had several surgeries on a broken foot and needed to stick around to have physical therapy etc. so she is living with us. She is super fun and just like having one of my girls or niece Carrie here with me. We have a lot of laughs. We always watch the Home and Garden Channel together and watch the shows about homes. The other night we were watching one where a couple were hunting for a house. They went in to this one and said, "Oh look at this wonderful laminate!" Carrie and I both went "YUK!" Then she turned to me and said, "Sharon we are such snobs!" Then we laughed as I sat there wondering if it were true. I don't mind being picky--I just don't want to be a snob:( Time to shape up!

Hey Sharon, use your powers and resources to tell me what I should do for my Visiting Teaching conference this year. :) I'm not into cute skits but I don't want it to be totally all serious either...
Keep sending pictures of the house, it's fun to see what you're up to!

Grreat update! Nice to see the progress on the house. Just think, if I was there, I could go around and caulk all the molding, plus other stuff I'm sure.

Don't be so long between updates! Carl
