Snow in Seattle

Last night after my shift in the temple I got in my car to come home. It was snowing hard--which we all know it never does in Seattle. I took me 1 hour and 40 minutes for a trip that usually take 20 minutes. That's okay. I made it home safe and sound and I am sure it was only because of the man upstairs. I turned in to Canterbury (our subdivision) and the car would not go another inch. I parked it and walked the block home.

This morning as I look through my screened window in the office upstairs this is what I am seeing. You know though--it never snows in Seattle--just like you don't get wet if you jog in the rain:)

Sharon neglected to mention my 4 1/2 hour sommute home last night. Ask me some time about being inside the Mt. Baker tunnel for over an hour and panic attacks.

So is the car still at the bottom of the hill?

I can only imagine how trapped you must have felt dad----do you feel like you were so tight in there that your eyelashes were brushing up against the top of the tunnel???? HA! HA! HA!

Actually Richarad went and retrieved it later that night when everything was frozen solid so it was a little easier to get it home. I will go on record as saying I will never buy another Lexus that isn't all wheel drive. It really is a miracle I made it that close to home.

Wow- your view looks like a Christmas card. My sister in Maple Valley and I were remembering the good old days in California when we were kids when we'd want to stay home from school because it RAINED. And now she lives in Washington and I'm in Idaho. I guess it builds character! Glad you both got home safe. And Richard, look on the bright side,it could've been worse- you could have had small crying children with you.
