Jason and Erika's daughter, Wytney Coleman, visited us for a few days. It was supposed to be two weeks--her Mom was sure she wouldn't get homesick and so was I--wrong!!! We changed her plane ticket so she only stayed one week because we were pretty sure she would not make it if she were forced to be with Grandma and Grandpa for two whole weeks. After she learned she only had to stay one week she had a great time.
We went and did all the fun kid Seattle things. Her favorite was riding the ferry to Bainbridge Island. However, I have to admit when the captain of the ferry came on the intercom and said because of heightened security we were being escorted to the island by the coast guard I was just a wee bit nervous. It was especially nerve wracking to see the coast guard manning a great big scary looking gun on the front of the boat. All I could think was, "Oh great. I take the grandkid on a ferry ride and we are blown away by terrorists. Jason will really never like me now!"
